At Your Service

At Your Service is a deeply personal project for the author's son and daughter who, after insisting that their father write his memoirs in his retirement, also discovered among his possessions a day-by-day account of the final months of WWI. The remarkable story of his life was published posthumously by The Choir Press.

Figgydoo had the privilege of collaborating closely with the Kimmins family, going through their incredibly preserved archives to select items that bring this story to life. The book is replete with wonderful photographs, letters and documents of personal and historical significance. Titles are set in Caslon Book BE (Günter Gerhard Lange) and the copy is set in Garamond. A cut-paper silhouette portrait of the author is accompanied by his signature on the book's cover – debossed in black ink on a grey Wibalin cloth.
